Elite Beauty Products that You Need Right Now

Amongst my family and friends, I've kinda become known as the beauty lady. You know, your big cousin who has a vanity full of interesting creams, liquids that you may or may not have heard of. After constantly being asked about what's on my bathroom counter, I realized that maybe, just maybe...I knew a thing or two about beauty--After all, I am a Sephora VIB!!

Rest assured, most (if not all) of these products are pretty affordable, so no need to pull out your Klarna app. Read on to learn more about the products that make me feel confident, beautiful, and well put together.

Forvr Mood Fragrances, $5.99-$79.00

Forvr Mood, a lifestyle brand co-founded by beauty influencer and businesswoman Jackie Aina, recently launched four amazing fragrances. What started off as me purchasing one travel size fragrance to show my support morphed into me buying full size bottles of each one AND the travel sprays (smh).

Most of the fragrances fall in the gourmand category, embodying warm, sweet, and juicy notes. My only criticism is that the sillage and projection is medium to low, and you have to spray on a good amount for a more bold effect. With that in mind, these are great fragrances for those who may be sensitive to strong scents and for young women who want to transition from lighter/softer perfumes. Don't get it twisted, though--these fragrances are beautiful, sexy, and bold, and with the right techniques (moisturizing skin beforehand, spraying directly on pulse points, NOT rubbing your wrists together, etc.), these fragrances will last for hours and get you complimented all day and night.

Fenty Skin has been dominated the beauty scene for quite some time. I first tried the whipped oil body cream a few years ago and just repurchased again. I know, I know--the price is a little steep, but this one is truly worth it. With its subtle cherry scent, it provides mega moisture (like a hydrating cream) and a beautiful, lit-from-within glow (like a body oil). It's great for the summer and it isn't sticky.

Five years ago, I did my second big chop, and I loved every minute of it. I grew it out last year, but I quickly realized that I preferred the convenience and style of my short cut, so I chopped it again! During the pandemic, I stumbled upon the Mousse Def Texture Foam, which is a conditioner, detangler, and styler all in one. When I tell you that this works---THIS WORKS. It provides a firm but soft hold that beautifully defines and moisturizes curls. Also, it dries super fast. I can wash my hair in the morning, apply the foam, and head out the door for work. One thing to note is that you only got about 3 days with this stuff before you have to rewash. The style just doesn't look that fresh (in my opinion) beyond that. Although I'm not typically a wash and go fan when my hair is longer, it works just as well for longer lengths and all hair textures!

This is the most inexpensive product on the list, but it's also one of the most effective! I tried this toothpaste on a whim a few months ago. No particular reason, no expectations--I just got it. After a few nights, I felt like my breath was fresher and my teeth were seriously whiter, but I thought I was just imagining things. After a few weeks, I realized that this toothpaste was the real deal! It has THEE best flavor/sensation of any toothpaste I've tried. It's truly like a York Peppermint Patty, but the sensation is longer lasting. My only feedback is that you will need a "regular", non-whitening toothpaste to alternate with because after a while, you may experience some irritation.

So, there you have it! These are my favorite beauty products at the moment. I've tried and want to try so many other things, so be on the lookout for more posts like this in the future. Have you tried any of the products that were mentioned? Do you want to try them? What would you add? Let me know in the comments <3
